In July 2021, according to Deadline, Lendeborg walked away from the "Party" to attend to his mental health, and Jacob Lattimore of "The Chi" joined the movie in his stead. Another House Party cast member who also has experience in the music business is Scott Mescudi, who, also like Jacob Latimore, made his acting debut on One Tree Hill, which marked the first time the rapper, also known as Kid Cudi, played himself.
